Best Mixtapes of 08?

Although the host of this web tv installation reeks of hipsterdouchbaggery pandering I thought the list wasn't half bad and provides some good links. Check it or wreck it. There's also a great new mixtape posted by 10.Deep Here.

Best of '08

Dear Readers,

New years eve is nearly here. What kind of pretentious blogger would EN-D be if he didn't provide his own best-of-'08? He presents it to be marveled at and yet discerns that this list may be lopsided towards the latter half of the year. He figured you'd grown tired of Vampire Weekend and Fleet Foxes (who EN-D would snub in any season). Indeed, this is the list of a blogger "living in the now". December 23rd to be exact. And here are the 31 songs (1 for each day of December) on his external hard-drive that seemed best suited to represent 2008.

Happy Holidays!!!!

Everyone is finally on Christmas break here in Lawrence KS. It's 3 degrees and the town is deserted. Time for some quality holiday blog time. I've been eating up Roger Ebert's blog lately. I highly recommend a gander if you have some time to kill. I'm currently working on a Winter Chill Out Mix to be posted later in the week. In the mean time check out the video below. Stay warm!!

A little preview track from the forthcoming Fabulous Pleasure chilly mix

I've been groovin on this minimalist electro sound recently. Xela fit the mold and claim to sound like "Drowning in a sea of blood and being too drunk to realize it."

Eagles of Death Metal interview

EN-D is mostly indifferent to the Eagles of Death Metal's music, but Jesse Hughes' interview with the Onion AV-Club is by far the most entertaining music journalist/musician correspondence he's read in a long while. Random Rules is already one of the most entertaining features around. Just think how fun it gets when the interviewee is on pharmaceutical-grade meth.

Enjoy.

Though not as amusing, here is a short interview of Hughes expousing the qualities of Sweden.
