EN-D wanted to put up a couple more korean pysch songs. This batch is by San Ul Lim (Mountain Echo), a band of three rich brothers who convinced their parents to buy them instruments. The fact that Korea was in a culture bubble meant that when their record debuted in '77 they were playing heady jams closer to the Byrds that the Ramones. It appears that after these three respectable albums they declined into soft-rock mush. The band unraveled as one of the brothers acted on a Soap Opera and another moved to the US and became a construction worker.
Regardless, EN-D had been curious about them for a while and he picked up a 3-disc pack of their first three albums at a bargain price. Unfortunately, the majority of the songs are forgetable, like an album of Wings' b-sides. But EN-D plucked the gems from the bunch and sent them on to you. Is it kitschy? Maybe. Would you like them if they weren't from 1970's Korea? Possibly not. Is the first song, 아마 늦은 여름이었을 거야 (Last Summer....) still catchy after 6 minutes? Yup.
